Growing up

A few years ago, I started digitizing some photos from our childhoods and young adult years. I still have several more of Anne to do at some point, but these will do for today. She was a cute kid!

Thank you so much for sharing the beautiful photos of Anne. What a gift it is to see her journey and spirit through the years. Even in pictures, the joy, kindness, and strength that have always been part of who she is shines through.

When you first published this post, Ron said that Anne’s look in photo #1 (birthday cake) is “I’ll go along with it, but I’m not buyin’ it.” I’ve seen that look many times! And not just when she’s waiting for someone to take a picture so that she can have some cake.Right now, I’m really feeling the “not buyin’ it.” I’m firmly rooted in the denial that she is gone. – Julia
